I plan to travel to Thailand for 2-3 nights in few month’s time with a partner and 2 preschoolers in tow. Where can I find an inexpensive (less than $100) hotel room that is clean, safe and near the shopping markets or tourist attraction. I would also appreciate suggestions from local residents on what to do, where to go, what to bring, what is the best season to travel, etc.

I have friends and relatives who live in Thailand, traveling only in OP Bungalow stay in Koh Samui. Great beach, gardens, bungalows are clean and the staff is very helpful. Perfect for families, usually there are other kids there to play yours.
The beach is partially shaded with beautiful trees.
OP Bungalow also has an excellent restaurant attached to it.
Very inexpensive and beautiful.

Finding a hotel, where you can book directly, and cut out the middle Mans Commission and saving money.
During the course BKK, research online, the MRT and BTS, the good and cheap.
