I bought a garmin 200 gps and im trying to update the maps online. The problem is when i plug the usb cable into the computer, my computer does not recognize the device.. It doesnt do anything, usually an icon will pop up saying new hardware detected.. but not this time. Any help would be greately appreciated

      Question: Why does my computer to see if my device in combination with a USB cable?
      Answer:
    The computer uses the USB mass storage mode on your Garmin device recognized. If your computer does not recognize the Garmin device, you can try these troubleshooting steps:
    Unplug the USB cable from your computer.
    The Power of Power cycle again.
    Connect the USB cable to your computer.
    Device or automatically switches to USB mass storage mode, or is the USB mass storage mode as an option on the screen.
    Note: If your computer still does not recognize the device, make sure the USB cable directly to computer USB port and a USB hub. If the cable already connected directly to the computer, try a different port.
